Hanszen Laporte Attorneys Secure Property Dispute Victory for Clients

The Firm is pleased to report that Hanszen Laporte Partner Matthew Hansel and Associate Terry Ford secured a total victory for our clients in a six-figure property sale dispute. The developed facts were that in 2022 Hanszen Laporte’s clients purchased a nearly 6-acre tract of land where they intended to build their forever home. Unfortunately, in 2024 the Firm’s clients found themselves enmeshed in a lawsuit over whether the sellers ever owned the property or had the right to sell it. In its order granting Hanszen Laporte’s motion for summary judgment, the Court determined that the Firm’s clients had superior rights to the property over any other claims of the plaintiff. In short, the property did and does now clearly belong to the Firms’ clients.
