Kent Hanszen Receives Board Certification in Commercial Real Estate Law

Hanszen Laporte announced that Kent Hanszen has received Board Certification in Commercial Real Estate Law. Kent Hanszen currently practices in Houston, TX where he is Managing Partner at Hanszen Laporte, LLP.
This designation through the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS) attests to Hanszen’s substantial capabilities and expertise. It is the third certification attained by Hanszen who is also Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Residential Real Estate Law.
Of the 70,000 attorneys licensed to practice in Texas, Hanszen is one of 5 attorneys in the state who is triple Board Certified and the only one in Harris County to hold this distinction.
“An attorney has to do something extra to get certified and then they have to continue to work and acquire knowledge in their specialty area to remain certified. You could say it is a life-long commitment,” said Judy Lenox, Chairman of the TBLS Board of Directors.
Hanszen received his J.D. in 1992 from the University of Houston and is a 1988 graduate of the Texas A&M University, where he received his B.B.A.
