Montague Morgan was born in Minnesota, but he has been a Texan from the age of seven months. During his undergraduate studies at the University of Houston, Montague was an active member of Pi Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Pi, and Alpha Phi Omega. He was named as a Who's Who among American College Students for 2002, and is a member of the Golden Key and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies.

After receiving his B.B.A. in Finance from the Bauer College of Business, Montague entered South Texas College of Law. While at South Texas, he served as the Managing Editor of the Corporate Counsel Review and authored two student notes that were published by the Corporate Counsel Section of the State Bar of Texas. Montague was also selected as the Senior Scholar of the Langdell Scholar program while serving as a Langdell Scholar of Constitutional Law. His coauthored brief on a constitutional law topic won a brief award at the Fall 2004 Leroy Jeffers Memorial Moot Court Competition. He is also a member and past officer of the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity. While succeeding at these endeavors, Montague also worked as a research assistant to a professor of law and as a legal researcher for a law-based television show. The faculty of South Texas honored Montague with the Lindsey Haid graduate award upon his graduation in May 2006.

Since graduating from law school, Montague has practiced in over 30 counties across Texas. His experience includes representing clients in areas including real estate transactions, commercial contracts, commercial transactions, commercial litigation, and entity formation. Montague is also a member of the Business Law Section, Corporate Counsel Section, and Consumer and Commercial Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Montague strives to offer clients the highest quality of legal assistance while continuing to broaden upon his legal experience and knowledge.
